With Fingers Burned, Toseland gives us a few new tracks one would expect to hear with a beer in hand and an arm around a friend at a weekend show in a packed arena.
Even with the brevity of an EP, the band gives the listener a hearty meal to digest. With a head-banging breakdown in “Bullet,” the thumping kick in “Reward,” and vocals reminiscent of Aerosmith’s Tyler throughout, this album makes the perfect intro to anyone’s summer playlist.
“We’ll Stop at Nothing” stands out though, not just as a stripped down ballad, but as an anthem that invokes a sense of belonging and camaraderie into anyone within earshot. This acts as the perfect bookend to a great listen, driving home the fact that Toseland is here to stay and is a band to keep an eye on.
