Arizona grunge/prog metal cult THE OXFORD COMA has issued a new lyric video for “Inflatable Patriots” – a track from the band’s recently-released Steve Albini-produced second LP, Everything Out Of Tune — through a premiere at PureGrainAudio. The premiere comes as the band prepares to launch a mini-tour up the West Coast this week.
THE OXFORD COMA‘s Everything Out Of Tune delivers more than forty minutes of devastatingly creative noise rock-influenced psychedelic intensity. Recorded and mixed by Steve Albini at Electrical Audio in Chicago, and mastered by John Golden at Golden Mastering, the LP features guitar from Intronaut’s Sacha Dunable on the lead track, “Trauma (Maybe I’m Forgetting Something.” Thundering grunge riffage meets progressive exploration, the album offers a spectrum of effects-drenched tones, teleporting the listener into an altered state of listening.
PreGrainAudio calls the band, “a thinking human’s aural wet dream. Part progressive, part psychedelic, part grunge, and all rock, this quartet’s music is just as calm and calculated as it is erratic and emotional.”
Offers the band, “This song is about hypocrisy, obliviousness, injustice, brainwashing, hipster racism, and cat noises.”
PureGrainAudio is now hosting the lyric video for “Inflatable Patriots” at THIS LOCATION.

Created over a two-year cycle throughout which the entire band lineup was completely restructured,Everything Out Of Tune is undeniably an album which takes THE OXFORD COMA‘s unique sonics to the next level in every conceivable way. Breaking the cycle of going for grittier studio recordings with each release, the follow-up to the band’s 2015-released Paris Is Mine, this time the band recorded with Steve Albini to capture Everything Out Of Tune. Utilizing the famous producer’s talent and his vast arsenal of incredible equipment and instruments, including the same guitars and amps as some of their most influential bands like Nirvana and many others have on their albums.
