Miljenko Matijevic and his band Steelheart return to the fold with their brand new release, Through Worlds Of Stardust, on Frontiers Records, their first release since 2008. Matijevic hasn’t sounded better. Very melodic and with very catchy hooks and chorus, this new release puts Steelheart back on the map as these forgotten hair metal studs ruled in the early nineties, but got swallowed up quickly by grunge and then forgotten. Their self titled debut release in 1990 started it all for this band with the hit single “I Never Let You Go” and the album went platinum. Now back in 2017, Matijevic has made another gem. Produced by him, the album contains ten new songs that will knock your socks off. An album full of rockers and ballads, just like from way back when, “Stream Line Savings” start this album off with it’s mix of bluesy rock with hints of 80’s mixed in, it satisfied my appetite. “My Dirty Girl” is just hook laden and sounds like something off of the debut album that Matijevic had hidden all these years. “You Got Me Twisted” is my personal favorite and is an 80’s ballad through and through, just like the old hair metal days, and it brought back memories of the time of my youth. “I’m So In Love With You” is another ballad played only on piano and Matijevic vocals are incredible.
Out now, you can pick it up online or hopefully at your local record store, if your town has one still.
