I had the pleasure of accompanying a few friends to the Pop Evil Rock N Roll Now show in Philly. My friends arrived right before Pop Evil took the stage. So, I had time to listen to the opening acts without distractions. The first band wasn’t a band I was familiar with, but I did know they were local, and boy, they can put on a show.
Siravo had the energy, the excitement, and definitely had the crowd pumped.
I didn’t know how to feel about them at first, as very rarely will a local band grasp my attention. But, I gave them a shot and they blew me away. They sang one of their songs from their album Vassal, called “The Antidote.” It featured another local artist, Matt Trexler. It is the type of song that can start up a pretty gnarly mosh pit.
They played a pretty short set, but they were absolutely amazing; especially their bassist. He was so full of energy and interacted with the crowd the entire time.
If they are ever in a city near you, go check Siravo out. You will not be disappointed. Until then, you can listen HERE.
