If you haven’t heard of Palisades (Rise Records), my guess is you’re probably a country music fan. Not saying that’s a bad thing; I love my country music too, but Palisades are five dudes that have busted the lines of the genre box wide open. If you listen to metal, Lou can scream with the best of them, if you love hip-hop, well Palisades can rap and beatbox too. Now if you’re looking for music to jump and headbang to or a pit to mosh in, you will find it all at a Palisades show. After the release of their third studio album, self-titled Palisades of course, front man Lou Miceli, guitarists Xavier Adames & Matt Marshall, bassist Brandon Elgar and on drums, Aaron Rosa left to tour with hard rock band Letters from the Fire and are presently touring with Nothing More on The Stories We Tell Ourselves Tour. They have been pretty busy as of late, but lucky me I was able to catch up with Lou Miceli (the front man who does it all) at Louder than Life and here’s what he had to say.
