North Carolina is quickly proving to me that it has a music scene. I recently had the chance to talk to Outer Glow, out of Greensboro, as they toured with Bad Omens. The band formed in 2016 and on June 30th released their first EP, Lunar//Effect. While they don’t particularly like to label their sound, they will call it djent. Djent, for those like me who were clueless, is described as the sound a low-pitch guitar makes. Like most good bands, they draw influences from all over the place, such as from Ariana Grande, Slipknot, and yeah, there was a mention of Beiber. These influences create a sound of clean and unclean vocals that mix well to create an in your face, here we are music. Give the link a click and check out my interview with Outer Glow.
