Moretta comes out swinging with their sophomore album “What’s Left Means Nothing.”
Though the first song This Feeling starts the album a little slower than fans may expect, and with an almost Indie vibe to it, don’t fret. When the next song At One Point starts you are reminded that Moretta is here to rock. The tempo kicks up and the NuMetal/Metalcore meets EMO sound that Moretta fans love is back to crush your earholes once again.
A cool thing about Moretta is their ability to have their songs flow so well together and transition so smoothly you almost question where the track actually changed. They also change up the elements so well you can’t help but wonder where they will go next. During some songs, the listener is given resounding vocals while on others you are met with full on sreamo type vocals, all held together with the solid musicality of the instruments.
Though I am not the biggest fan of screamo type vocals, the album has so many elements that kept me wanting more. I couldn’t help but need to know what was coming at me next. Moretta has a lot of genres packed into one album and I think it works.
