The Church Of The Wild Ones Tour
I have been a Black Veil Brides fan ever since they started. Their sound, their look and their dedication to their fans have always amazed me. I have enjoyed every album that they have put out including "We Stitch These Wounds", "Set The World On Fire" and their newly released album "Wretched And Divine". I was pumped for this show. The show started with "The Relapse Symphony" from Washington D.C who are only on this tour for two dates and Baltimore was lucky enough to be one of those dates. The Relapse Symphony played a good set which didn't sound much like Black Veil Brides at all which most people who assume thinking about their look being similar. I myself was a bit disappointed that the set was so short. I got a chance to meet Alex Foxx (Guitarist) and Bret Von Dehl (Vocalist) who are both really cool dudes. Next up was "Bad Seed Rising" a band with kids from 10-14 of age and are from right here in Maryland. They have shared the same stages with greats such as Everclear, Kix, Night Ranger, Motley Crue, Johnny Rzeznik, Molly Hatchet and now Black Veil Brides. They all have amazing talent especially for their age. Next was William Control A.k.a William Francis.
I got to speak with William before the show and I must say he was one of the most laid back musicians I have ever met. He was very easy to speak with and all in all a very cool guy. His set started out with a tune from the movie Willy Wonka And The Chocolate Factory and came out and really got the crowd moving. He played many great songs including "Beautiful Loser" and "I'm Only Human Sometimes" as well as songs from his latest album "Silentium Amoris". After William was Black Veil Brides and boy was the crowd screaming. They started their set off with the song "I am Bulletproof" from their new album. Poor Andy Biersack (Vocalist) was sick which made his voice a bit off but damn do I have so much respect for him for not cancelling the show and be their for his fans. I believe he did the best he could and put on a great show. One of my personal favorites were their cover of "Rebel Yell" Originally done by Billy Idol. Another great song "Legacy" from their second album "Set The World On Fire" has such a heavy sound and made me move. Black Veil Brides have many songs that the crowds can join in and sing with the band like their song "Fallen Angels" which to me had a major KISS influence sound. Black Veil Brides get alot of shit for dressing the way they do but one thing I really like about them is that they just don't care what people like that have to say and write great music and always put a smile on their fans faces and look where they are now. They ended the show with their new single "In The End". I can definitely say that this was a good show and if I would rate it, it would be 9/10 for sure.
