Los Angeles based, up & coming artist TADEO MAN to release his concoction of covers in 2018. “Renegades 2?” is set to be released in January to give fans of rock, funk, and rap they have been missing.
Here is what Tadeo Man had to say about the project:
So, I had this idea, what if they had not disbanded, or maybe got back together & created Renegades volume 2? What would it sound like? I listed some songs, mostly old school hip hop hits from the 90’s. Tracks from Beastie Boys, Tupac, Cypress Hill, Dr. Dre., etc.…
Collaborating with other musicians in LA can be tough, so I decided to take this one on myself. I recorded all my ideas, mix & mastered the album and called it ” RENEGADES 2? “
The only instruments I have is an acoustic guitar, microphones and a laptop. I rented a drum set and borrowed my friend’s bass guitar a few times. I applied everything I know & use whatever I have to produce the sound that imagined, which is a twist of my own style, RATM and the original version.
There’s also this online project that I started less than a year ago called United Rage. It’s basically a page for RATM fans where we upload videos of RATM covers, played by musicians from different parts of the world. It has gained a lot of traction on facebook since it started. A lot of people requested that we do it live. So, I am glad to announce that we are going to do the first show ever, in Los Angeles on January 13th. Some of the members are actually flying in overseas, just to do this show. And since it’s an RATM driven project, we are going to play all the songs from Renegades 2? album, to celebrate and have a digital release party. So, if by any chance you’re in LA, and want to hear some rage & 90’s hip hop rocked out, come join us.”
Renegades 2? is set to be released on January 13, 2018 on all of the various streaming sites.
The band is releasing a video of the making of one of the tracks in the album called “The Message” originally by Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five to give a peek at what you will be getting!
