Nottingham (United Kingdom) rock group, Fahran, releases their single “State of Mind” in anticipation of their forthcoming album, Vapours, set to be released summer 2018. Fahran premiered their track earlier this month on Huff Post. The classic rock sound from vocalist Matt Black is sure to catch the attention of new fans. “State of Mind” confronts the tumultuous inner turmoil of mental illness, which has become an increasingly thought provoking subject this year in music with such losses as Chris Cornell and Chester Bennington. Whether you’ve gone through your own battle or you’ve watched someone fight theirs, the video for “State of Mind” will resonate as it shows the audience both perspectives. The video also gives some insight to their stage presence with it’s performance interjections and you can see why they are booking festivals such as 2018’s, Amplified. The stand out guitar riffs and solo is what sells the track and will put Fahran on your watch list this coming year. Stay tuned to Shockwave Magazine to bring you a review of the full album, Vapours, when it releases.
“Pull yourself together, think a little better.”
