Every Mother’s Nightmare has returned with their sixth album and first since 2002 titled Grind on HighVolMusic. The album, scheduled for an October 6th release date, consists of eight studio tracks and three live tracks.
Hailing from Tennessee, these guys were a staple on MTV back in 1990 with the songs “Love Can Make You Blind” and “Walls Come Down.” Now, decades later they have put out another great rocker. Lead singer Rick Ruhl still heads this band, and his voice has never sounded better.
“Loco Crazy” is the first song on this album, and it sounds like 1992 all over again. With a catchy chorus and a two-guitar groove, it grew on me as I kept listening to it. Also, Zach Myers from ShineDown guests on this track.
“Sacred Circle” is, hands down, the gem on this album. Very melodic, this song has the classic EMN sound, without question. As mentioned before, there are three live tracks on the album. “Push” is one of those and it flat out rocks. Their hit “Walls Come Down” is also included here, played live and raw, the way it should be.
