Crobot, a four-piece groove rock band, mixed with hippy and stoner rock, took to the Main Stage at Shaun Morgan’s Rise Above Festival in Bangor, Maine on July 22, 2017. They did what they always do and completely shocked the audience. Brandon Yeagley’s voice is chilling to say the least with his piercing range and incredible lungs. The stage presence is never lost with these guys, as guitarist Chris Bishop always has a smile on his face and usually takes Brandon for a ride on his shoulders. Touring with Crobot on this tour is Bassist James Alexander (Igor) Lascu, from Detroit rock band Wilson. A lefty bassist who really turns it up out there and plays to the moment, his presence completes this band. New drummer, Dan Ryan has adapted nicely to his new role as the beat master.
Playing all their hits from their newest record, Fat City, the crowd got into their cool grooves. In addition to rocking their own hits, they were joined by none other than Clint Lowery of Sevendust (and currently touring with Seether) to play an Audioslave classic “Cochise” in honor of fallen rocker Chris Cornell.
