According to the band’s official site, their new single “Systematic” has already won an award from Academia Awards Academy, and as their strongest foot forward on this album, it’s unquestionable as to why. The band has an admittedly political slant, but given the state of today’s politics, there is as much opportunity for that as there is necessity. They follow the footsteps of Rage Against The Machine and Disturbed in that message, quelling apathy and blind hatred in a powerful, articulate melody of rock. Their passion is undeniable, and lead singer Shane Jolie disguises none of the rage he feels regarding their message. A clear signal of hope through action and a violent opposition to indifference, the band aims to leave their audience in a fist-pumping rage against the bullshit that is today’s political machine.
Their bat-winged, two-fingered gunmetal knuckled icon is as striking as their tone: dark, foreboding, yet hopeful. In Sum: these guys have a running start to the hard rock scene, and if their message and sound stays in their current vein, there’s no denying that this band will put a crankshaft kick-start to this year’s list of burgeoning, fantastic new artists.
