*BOOM* I know damn well you just finished that verse in your head in Jacoby’s voice. That now-triple platinum album skyrocketed into fame like a trampoline on Adderall. I remember being in a Radio Shack looking for the latest Metallica CD when I heard this song blast its ass through the store’s loudspeakers, knowing not that later in my life I would write the most dated sentence ever written. It was like the first time seeing the moon landing, that moment. Sixteen years later I remember exactly where I was and what I was wearing, that’s the effect that song had on me. Papa Roach has helped to shape the entire face of capital “R” Rock in the 21st century. All jokes aside: they are modern day legends, puissant, nuclear in their live performances, zealous with ambition, and are legends in how they interact with their fans and their hometown of Vacaville, CA.
Where are they now? TEARING SHIT UP ON SHIPROCKED! Their second tour on this epic voyage of high seas debauchery, we can expect many newer hits from F.E.A.R., nostalgia from albums like Getting Away With Murder and Metamorphosis, and certainly a slow cadence of return to their root songs that will make us all say “you had me at Infest.”
