Oooh, we know something you don’t know. Don’t fret, I’m going to tell, because Shockwave readers are my people. Actually, how about hearing it from the source. Here are the artists of Core 10 dropping the mic with massive music news.
Did you catch that? The men of Core 10 are about to hit the studio to record the new track, “Unforgotten,” with high-level producer Ulrich Wild!
I’m salivating. That’s not all though, folks. These “mad scientists of metal” have a message to deliver and I’m hanging onto every word. We talked veteran support, inner health, and performance mishaps; not an easy task when this band’s banter is circled by laughter and good nature, but that friendship is a magnet for rockers like me. Through that positivity, their commitment to respecting the sacrifices of our veterans plays to the emotions of the band, and their musical aesthetics.
“I really think, serving the military, when they coming out of the military, they deserve whatever the should get. These kids give up there summers, they give up concerts, they give Disneyland, they give up whatever.”
“Every night over seas is the real deal, that’s a serious commitment. They deserve anything we can give them.”
I was a lucky girl to have the opportunity to chit-chat with these seasoned rockers, but Deanna Jack had her own Core 10 moment. Deanna got to witness their talents on the stage. She hasn’t let me hear the end of it, and I like what she’s saying.
Here’s Deanna Jack’s first-hand account of the performance that caught her eye, and inspired her deep-level fandom:
I had the incredible pleasure of being introduced to Core 10 at the P.O.D show in Big Bear, Ca on 05/05/17. This group of five guys has years of experience and are such a cool combo of different talents.
I was immediately drawn in when I saw a complete keyboard setup on the stage before they even came out. That is just not something you see often at a rock show (unless you are a big prog fan like me, hehe). When the band took their place, it was with an energy that got the entire crowd’s attention. They had a dynamic take on rock; two lead vocalists and keyboards, that mixed seamlessly with the guitars, bass, and bad ass drums. With lyrics that grab your attention and make you think on a deeper level, Core 10 has the whole package. I stood in the back and not only witnessed the show onstage, but watched as they made everyone in the room a fan.
I was excited to talk to them after the show, and when they agreed to chat with us to tell us what we can look for in the future, I got a little giddy. The entire group was genuinely thrilled to be sharing their craft with new fans.
Yep, giddy; Deanna got it right. That’s exactly what this band insights.
We might have to wait for the album onslaught of Core 10, but I’ll be loitering with my lab coat, stethoscope, and a concert ticket. I always keep my promises.
