Described by the band as an “ode to suffering,” the emotionally charged “Accept Loss Forever” is a chronicle of the various challenges and difficulties the group has overcome. According to guitarist Clayton Cagle, “’Accept Loss Forever’ was written for anyone who’s been depressed, who’s wished for their own death, who’s struggled with drug abuse to numb the pain, or who’s ever been broken by the loss of a loved one. Everyone in the band who put pen to paper to write this album lived through some, if not all, of the above. I don’t know where I would be without the support and catharsis that APOTHESARY has given me, and if just one person is helped by this record in the same way that I was, it will all be worth it.”
“Accept Loss Forever” Track List:
1. Sensory Overload
2. Two-Minute Hate
5. Accept Loss Forever
6. Making Up For Lost Time
7. You’ve Met With A Terrible Fate, Haven’t You?
9. Woodland Critter Christmas
10. Tempest (Even Tide)
11. Expressionless Me
“Tempest (Even Tide)” marks the second appetizer for “Accept Loss Forever,” as earlier this year, the group released a Multiverse theory-inspired music video for “Elizabeth” (also directed by Tsunami Films) via No Clean Singing, who called the song “a barn-burner, a rushing, pulsating death/thrash blast that gets the blood pumping, with ferocious vocals, battering grooves, fret-burning guitar work, a blistering solo, and a melody that rings in the head well after the song ends.”
Taking advantage of a break in the busy touring schedule of his other band Hatchet, guitarist Clayton Cagle and his APOTHESARY bandmates – guitarist/vocalist Jared Eandi, drummer Greg O’Neill and bassist Brittany Shankle – spent much of April on the road in the western U.S. (including several dates with label mates Blessed Curse), their first proper tour since a summer 2016 run that saw the group play alongside the likes of Psycroptic, Motograter, Soil and American Head Charge.
APOTHESARY self-released their first album, 2011’s “A Harsh Reality,” while its members were still in high school. During summer breaks, the group embarked on DIY-booked tours to spread their name by playing shows with the likes of Killswitch Engage, Dark Tranquillity, Fear Factory, Dying Fetus, Helloween, Suffocation and Warbringer. The band has subsequently released two EPs, “They All Carry Ghosts” and “Sensory Overload,” that showcased new and old-school thrash and technical death metal influences blending to concoct something simultaneously brutal, melodic and adventurous.
Last weekend, APOTHESARY headlined the seventh annual Metalfest of Middletown in Northern California. Later this summer, the group will share the stage with M-Theory label mates Helsott, Sicocis and Empyrean Throne at Hollywood’s legendary Viper Room, as well as the Beauty Bar in Las Vegas. Additional tour dates will be announced shortly. For more information, please visit www.facebook.com/apothesary.
