Sailing back home, I was thinking that I have to share a story about last Friday night with you guys.
It was about 8pm on the 18th when I stepped in Slim Jim’s Liquor Store, a rock’n’roll bar in London (Islington). This Friday evening was dedicated to an acoustic show, and Adam Breeze was the chosen one to make it the place to be. This name might sound familiar to you. Indeed, rock trio RavenEye‘s drummer Breeze is as comfortable screaming into a microphone as he is behind the drums.
As a professional musician, Adam developed a strong musical identity that he shared with us for about 20 rock song covers. He played with his own unique styling without losing the original spirit of the songs he covered. The set list as a combo of genres and influences, from Led Zeppelin to AC/DC, the Foo Fighters to RavenEye. Tributes to Chris Cornell with the Audioslave track “I Am The Highway,” and Linkin Park’s Chester Bennington with “What I’ve Done” drew in the audience, who celebrated the loss by singing along to every word. With Breeze’s high energy performance, Slim Jim’s was no place for seated chill time. He brought that same passionate energy, this time by singing and playing his guts out. If you have ever seen him behind the kit, then you came prepared to be blown away. If you haven’t, what are you waiting for ?
Breeze really knows how to entertain a crowd, laughing with us, shaking his hair wildly, slamming into his guitar, and even sharing a duet with one of his friends on a Tenacious D song “History.”
About the night Breeze said, “The atmosphere was amazing; loud crowd, lots of familiar faces and surrounded by friends.” The beast of the night seems to have spent the same fun time as the rest of the venue did!
So now, if you want to join his adventures with RavenEye or as a solo artist, follow the link below. Pay close attention to his social media if you want a sample of the rock feast we were treated to.
